Looking for a way to add extra features to your business or just getting started? Here is one simple tip when you start are looking to enhance or begin your social media channels, such as YouTube.
After looking at the analytics of our website, I realized that more than half of the views on our social media and website were coming from mobile devices, such as iPhones or digital readers. I already chose a responsive web platform that adjusts depending on what the individual uses. I changed the text on the pages to make it easier for our viewers. What else could I do if I optimized & customized my pages?
I realized that I was missing something in one of our social media outlets. I was missing the way our YouTube channel was being seen by viewers. Uploading video after video was easier but I was missing something. When I wanted to create audio podcasts and make them available on YouTube I realized they were getting lost in the grid view. Each upload made our videos area look busier and busier.
One way to help your viewers find the work and resources that interest them is by creating playlists. When you upload a video to the bottom right of the page you are given the option to add the upload to a playlist or create one. Just click on the box or add the list name and click create. Some of your videos may fall into more than one category but that’s okay. YouTube allows you to check on more than one box. Grouping and organizing your videos make autoplay and viewing easier for your subscribers and those that follow your link you just posted in Facebook. Do you really want to search through a grid to find more videos related to the great one you just watched? No, neither does your viewer.
